Middle School BRIDGE

Understanding yourself as a learner

Eighth grade is an exciting transition: you're preparing for high school, discovering new interests, and developing the habits that will serve you for years to come. In Middle School Bridge, you'll learn how YOUR specific brain works best, explore what interests you, and build organizational systems that match your learning style. We'll help you understand why certain subjects feel easier than others (it's neurology, not ability), choose high school courses that align with your goals, and develop study strategies that actually work for your brain.

Monthly Coaching Sessions

9 one-hour individual coaching sessions throughout the academic year. Students develop personalized strategies for organization, time management, and study skills. Each session includes goal-setting, progress review, and tactical skill-building tailored to your student's specific needs and challenges.

Study Skills Development

Evidence-based study strategies, including active reading techniques,
note-taking systems, test preparation methods, and memory retention
strategies. Students learn how to learn -- skills that compound across
all four high school years and transfer to college with success.

Career Exploration

Initial career interest assessments and exposure to diverse pathways.
Students begin identifying strengths, interests, and values that will
inform high school course selection and extracurricular choices. Early
exploration prevents the junior-year panic of "I don't know what I
want to study."

High School Planning

Strategic course selection guidance and 4-year planning begin in 8th grade. Students learn to evaluate course rigor, understand graduation requirements, and make informed choices about electives and pathways. This early planning prevents scheduling mistakes and ensures students stay on track for college readiness.

Executive Function Training

Organization systems, time management strategies, and self-advocacy skills development. Students build the foundational habits that
prevent high school overwhelm: manage assignments across multiple classes, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with teachers.

Family Partnership

Quarterly family workshops provide parents with tools to support
their student at home. Topics include understanding high school
expectations, monitoring progress without micromanaging, college
planning basics, and creating accountability systems. Families
receive monthly progress reports and ongoing email support.

What Our Clients Say

Girl Reaching Books

Foster C., Palm Beach Gardens

Stephanie was invaluable during my son’s college application process. Her assessment of my son was spot-on, including his writing skills. She helped him get organized by setting simple weekly goals. My son never thought the process was insurmountable. As a result, he was accepted into his first-choice program with a significant financial stipend. I’m so thankful!
